2nd D4K Session at Palmetto

We had our 2nd D4K session at Palmetto yesterday. Four members of the Olympia High School Girls Volleyball team came to help out the kids with their homework. During the classroom session, we split off into two groups, one group that still had some homework to do and another that had already finished. The group that was still working on their assignments were working on vocabulary words and science homework that covered the earth-specifically what the earth was made of and the composition of it's minerals.

The group without homework worked on some mutiplication tables, helping to organize Ms. Brewer's classroom and some puzzles.

For volleyball, the Olympia girls lead the kids on some warm up drills and then we split up into two groups again, one group worked on passing and the other group worked on 6 on 6 and working on the basics of team volleyball and we switched groups midway through.

In all it was another great day and the kids had a great time.
